I have some great tips again for you for books with the theme of small and simple living. This way, you will also have something to put on your wish list for Sinterklaas, and before you know it, the time will have come!

""

Smart Spatial Use 2 – Marcel van Mierlo

Marcel’s second book was published last year as an e-book and can now be ordered as a hardcover. Because of the many beautiful images and illustrations, this is a book that deserves to be in print, although the electronic version is also handy because it contains many links to more information and educational performance videos. The book contains descriptions of twenty unique small houses with innovative and traditional building styles. From Tiny Houses to cob houses, from bicycle campers to tree houses, Marcel describes in detail, the design, the construction method and what we can learn from these special buildings. Klein Wonen / Small Homes – Jacqueline Tellinga

I am very happy with the appearance of “Live Small / Small Homes”. After all, it is an emphatic plea for creating space for small homes, of which there is a great need in the Netherlands. The book is written from the viewpoint of the municipality of Almere and tells the entire process of the BouwEXPO Tiny Housing in Almere. Attention has been paid to a great many aspects that municipalities have questions about, such as the permit process, parking space standards, the cost aspect, the construction of utilities in relation to temporary construction and much more. This makes it a handy reference work for municipalities that want to get started in making Tiny Housing possible. It is also packed with inspiring quotes and beautiful images to encourage them a little more. Therefore, in addition to the book “Tiny Houses” by Monique van Orden, this is an excellent book to give to your municipal contact. You can order the book via the link in the right sidebar of this page.

The Simple Life Agenda 2020 – Nynke Valk

Last year I mentioned the Simple Life Agenda 2019 and luckily you can also simplify your life in 2020 with the help of this great agenda. We all have so much to do, with such full days juggling so many plates. But what is really important? Nynke gives practical and inspiring tips and tools in her diary to bring your life back to the essence. In a very gentle, friendly way, she encourages you to occasionally stand still and reflect on what really matters. The agenda for 2020 is executed in sunny yellow and it immediately makes you happy when you grab it. Less distraction, more focus, fewer lists, more peace and relaxation. Sounds like we could use that, don’t you think?
