So far, it\u2019s been wins mostly, so my luck was bound to run out sometime. Today I drove to Olst with Koen Berendse to look at the plans for my Tiny House. And it turned out great! Daniel really understood what is important to me: a beautiful kitchen with space for a green outer wall, so I can pick my herbs right out of my kitchen window. What a brilliant idea! I love those houses with walls overgrown with ivy, like you see in England for instance. But in my case, it will be planters filled with herbs and maybe even some vegetables! Excellent idea.<\/p>\n<p>So what\u2019s the loss? The price of my Tiny House is considerably higher than I originally thought. That was a first and conservative estimate. But still\u2026 this is a hard pill to swallow. The result is that we\u2019ll have to make a lot of budget cuts and that we can\u2019t use high quality materials, and even then, the price is way above my limit. Truth be told, I\u2019m not sure how to move forward from here. It\u2019s been a long day, I\u2019m tired from traveling and all the information I\u2019ve received, so this is not the time to take decisions. Time will tell. Right now, I feel like having a good cry, and I feel a bit lost. Ah well, I know a solution will present itself. I\u2019ve received over 800 euros worth of donations so far, for which I\u2019m very grateful! The campaign runs until the end of July and I\u2019m hoping to receive 5,000 euros.<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019ve been asked to talk about my Tiny House adventures on the Radio 1 show \u2018Nachtkijkers\u2019, this Sunday night from 2 to 6. What an honor!<\/li>\n<li>The local radio station in Langedijk \u2018Compleet FM\u2019 also wants to spend some air time on Marjolein in het klein. This Friday I\u2019ll be interviewed and it will air on Wednesday July 15<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/li>\n<li>Via my Facebook page I got help in selecting a solar power installation. Peter is an electrician who wants to figure out what exactly I need and where I can get the best and cheapest deal. I\u2019ve purchased the first part already \u2013 a convertor! Thanks for all your help, Peter!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Right, now for some couch time with a cup of tea and yes, maybe even a chocolate. I could use some comfort food. I know that these are luxury problems. I\u2019ve got a roof over my head, food in the fridge and water from the tap. There are so many people in this world who cannot say the same! The story will continue; I don\u2019t know how yet but that\u2019s the thing with adventures.
